Education
Dr. Morris graduated as Valedictorian and was named “Most Likely to Succeed” from Daphne High School in Baldwin County, Alabama, in 1995. She was offered numerous scholarships from prestigious universities such as Vanderbilt, Rice, and LSU but chose to attend the University of South Alabama (USA) due to her early acceptance into their Medical School’s Early Acceptance Program (EAP). During her time at USA, she was an active member of Chi Omega Fraternity, participated in the Student Government Association, and was recognized as Greek Woman of the Year in 1999.
Dr. Morris pursued her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, where she excelled in her studies, earning a full merit scholarship. She graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Her interest in surgical specialties led her to Duke University Medical Center for residency, where she received rigorous training and earned the Duke Ocular Innovation Award for her research on bimatoprost gel, now known as Latisse.
Fellowship
Combining her interests in ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and ENT, Dr. Morris completed a two-year fellowship in oculofacial plastic and orbital reconstructive surgery at the University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt University. Her expertise in CO2 laser surgery and ablative resurfacing, developed during her time at Duke and Nashville, became integral to her practice.
Career
Dr. Morris’s career has taken her across the country, from Missouri and Florida to Chattanooga, TN, where she started her own practice in 2012. In 2015, she relocated to Texas to be closer to family, becoming board certified in cosmetic laser surgery in addition to her specialties in oculofacial plastic surgery and ophthalmology. Her practice flourished, earning her accolades such as being named one of the “Ten Most Inspirational, Accomplished, and Engaging Women of Tarrant County” in 2020 and receiving consecutive Best of County Awards in 2022 and 2023.
